A Note to the Fat Fest Family
First, all of us here at Fat Fest would like to wish everyone a very happy and healthy new year! With this New Year comes a lot of changes. We have enjoyed four amazing years of watching this festival grow into what it has become and we are forever grateful to all of the bands, volunteers, hard workers, and most importantly you, the fans, for helping us achieve our hopes and dreams. It is with this sincere gratitude that we announce the news that Fat Fest will no longer take place.
This event has been such a beautiful gathering of incredible people year after year and while it is sad that we won't see you all at the Coffee Mill Ski Resort this summer we would like to encourage you to see it as we see it: The music community in the Midwest is one of the most dedicated and tight knit groups of like minded people we've ever seen, and that will never change. We see this as a door of opportunity opening. Through this open doorway is a plethora of new and exciting ideas, and we can assure you that the organizers of Fat Fest will soon be announcing the birth of some amazing events for the near future.
The last four years of Fat Fest would not have been possible without a little help from our friends (well, lets be honest...A LOT of help!). There are entirely too many people to list everyone by name. You all know who you are and we want you to know that your help will be forever a part of our growth in this journey. The energy that you put forth in helping us realize our dream is now a part of us. From the little help, to the major time and effort that many have given us, we consider all of you a part of our Festival Family. It has been an honor working with all of you and we hope in the future to work with you again. Please accept our thanks and sincere gratitude from the bottom of our hearts to yours! Through your effort Fat Fest blossomed into something that reached far beyond what we could have ever imagined! Your advice, laughter, tears, sweat, creativity, love, skills, muscles, music, openness, foresight, honesty, initiative, and friendship will be with us forever! THANK YOU!
